Cultivating Conversations Around Anxiety
Jun 19, 2025
This week, our team had the pleasure of running a corporate workshop at the beautiful Hall Hunter berry business. Amidst the rows of fresh produce and open countryside, we facilitated an engaging and impactful session on Anxiety in the Workplace, tailored for leaders and staff keen to better understand emotional wellbeing both in themselves and in those they support.
Our workshop focused on unpacking anxiety not as a problem to fix, but as a natural emotion — a signal worth understanding. We explored what emotions are, how they function, and how techniques such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) can help individuals regulate their emotional states more effectively.
Beyond self-awareness, a major element of the session involved coaching-style conversations how to support others experiencing anxiety or difficult emotions. We looked closely at what it means to truly listen. Not to jump in with solutions or quick advice, but to offer someone the space to feel heard, to process out loud, and often, to uncover their own answers.
As always, the key learnings at the end of the session were thoughtful and personal. A theme that stood out was the power of presence. Many participants realised the importance of listening without the need to respond a surprisingly challenging task for those naturally inclined to help, fix, or rescue.
One participant summed it up beautifully: “I learned how to speak and how to listen.”
We’re so grateful to the team at Hall Hunter for their warmth, openness, and willingness to explore these topics together.
